I am inspired by the communicative relationships of colour combinations and form; I would describe my work as intuitive, vibrant, and abstract. I use a combination of bold colours, shapes, and elements of pattern, continuously layering, and creating depth in search for a composition that speaks to me. I respond to every observable shift, guided by what I see, developing a visual language to evoke connection for myself and the viewer. Although echoes of my thoughts and memories can be found in my work - I progress each painting with my focus on finding resolution rather than depicting my reflections, letting the work be observed for what it is. I use the full process as an opportunity to ruminate, reflect and satisfy my need for creativity, finding a sense of resolve within the completion of each artwork.
